DC PQC Award Pilot Program
The DC PQC Award Pilot Program is designed to recognize organizations for their excellence in Perinatal Quality Improvement (QI) Data Reporting, Patient Voice Integration, and Health Equity Initiatives over a 10-month period. We are pleased to announce that two of our birthing hospitals have applied to start this program with us: MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Award Criteria and Milestones
- QI Participation: Meet specific milestones and maintain them for three “qualifying quarters” during the award year.
- Patient Voice: Show how patient voices are integrated into quality improvement through community and patient partnerships, emphasizing lived experiences in decision-making.
- Health Equity: Implement interventions to address health equity gaps and submit disaggregated data by race and ethnicity to demonstrate efforts in identifying and addressing disparities.
Achievement Criteria
- Gold: Achieve all three areas—QI Participation, Patient Voice Integration, and Health Equity Initiatives
- Silver: Achieve QI Participation and either Patient Voice Integration or Health Equity Initiatives
- Bronze: Achieve QI Participation only
