COVID-19 During Pregnancy Tied to Serious Health Risks

Research from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health found that pregnant women who are infected with COVID-19 face a seven-time increase in the risk of death and an elevated risk for pneumonia. Additionally, babies born to infected mothers are almost two times more likely to be admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit or being born prematurely.
