National Institute for Children’s Health Quality: Safe Sleep Disparities

Every day across the country, families wake up to an unimaginable heartbreak. The healthy baby that they put to bed passed away during the night. Sudden infant deaths (SUID) disproportionately affect families of color, reflecting an alarming lack of equity. The National Action Partnership to Promote Safe Sleep Improvement and Innovation Network (NAPPSS-IIN), a NICHQ-led project is working to address SUID and the disparities that persist.
